1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using AutomataVerse ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AutomataVerse is an educational platform for learning and teaching automata theory. The Service includes:

  • Interactive automata simulation tools (DFA, NFA, PDA, Turing Machines)
  • Group and classroom management features
  • Assignment creation and submission system
  • Cloud storage for machine configurations (Pro feature)
  • Progress tracking and activity analytics

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must create an account to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

3.3 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 18 should use the Service with parental guidance.

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Free Tier

  • 1 group maximum
  • 2 assignments per group
  • Up to 20 members per group
  • Local storage only

4.2 Pro Tier ($15/month)

  • Unlimited groups and assignments
  • Up to 100 members per group
  • Cloud storage for machines
  • Priority support

4.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You can cancel anytime, and you'll retain Pro access until the end of your billing period.

4.4 Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel, you'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on others' intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or viruses
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Share your account with others
  • Create multiple accounts to bypass limitations

6. Content Ownership

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all machines, assignments, and submissions you create. By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, display, and process your content to provide the Service.

6.2 Our Content

The Service, including its design, code, and features, is owned by AutomataVerse and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

  • Perform maintenance and updates
  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Suspend access for violations of these terms

8. Termination

8.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

8.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, without prior notice or refund.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or always available.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AutomataVerse SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with these laws.
